I belong to a book discussion group made up of friends on the East Coast Train Line! We're currently meant to be reading this book by Simon Vibert, although I'm struggling to find the time to read it meaningfully.

Those of you that follow the Christian calendar will know that today (the 1st of March) is the first day of lent with 40 days to go until easter.

Rather than give up cookies or chocolate buttons, this year I've decided to take up something for lent: I'm going to read Rick Warren's 'Purpose Driven Life' which as you can see from the cover asks the question 'What on earth am I here for?'

The book invites us to take a 40 day spiritual journey designed to help us figure out what God wants in our lives. I'll keep you posted!
